Michelle Anthony-Desir

Board Director

Michelle Anthony-Desiris the principal attorney and founder of Athena Law in Saint Lucia, bringing almost three decades of legal experience to her practice. She now concentrates her practice on conveyancing, corporate and commercial matters, and wills and estates, Michelle isa proud alumni of The University of the West Indies where earned her Bachelor of Laws degree. She obtained her Legal Education Certificate from Hugh Wooding Law School in 1996. Since then, she has practiced privately in Saint Lucia. She began her career at Anthony & Associates, later joined the Chambers of Chong & Co, and went on to become a founding partner of Du Boulay Anthony & Co, where she practiced until December 2020. These experiences exposed her to a wide range of legal work, and laid the foundation for the distinctive, personalized service she now offers through Athena Law. In her current practice, Michelle focuses on simplifying complex legal processes so that clients can make confident, informed decisions. Whether she is overseeing property transfers, structuring corporate and commercial arrangements, or advising on succession planning and estate administration, her aim is to demystify the law and provide clear, practical solutions tailored to each client’s circumstances. As a qualified mediator, she also champions alternative dispute resolution, believing that not every problem needs to be resolved in a courtroom and that creative, interest-based solutions often serve clients better in the long term. Michelle has been an active member of the Saint Lucia Bar Association from the date of her call to the Bar in 1996, where she has served as both Secretary and Vice President, and also on the Disciplinary Committee. Her commitment to service extends beyond the legal field. She has chaired the Board of Tapion School Limited and currently serves as Chair of the St. Joseph’s Convent Board of Management. She currently serves as the Honorary Consul of Sweden in Saint Lucia, a role that reflects both her professionalism and her trusted standing in the community. Through nearly 29 years of practice, Michelle has also come to understand that true professional success is not defined by achievements alone, but by the ability to maintain balance and protect one’s well-being. Outside the office, Michelle finds renewal in simple, grounding pleasures one of her favorite activities are walks on Vigie Beach.
